Fulbright Scholar from the USA gave a seminar at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education - Ethiopia (MoSHE)
Dr. Teshome Yizengaw, a Fulbright Scholar at MoSHE, gave a seminar to staff members of MoSHE on 16th January of 2020. Topics covered included Policy Briefs and their Preparations, Communication for Results, Effective Communication and Persuasion Skills, and various others.
The Fulbright scholar has been recruited by the US State Department via the famous Fulbright Mechanism which supports countries upon specific requests. His joining of MoSHE is the result of MoSHE's request to the USA Embassy in Addis Ababa to support MoSHE's diverse reform activities. He will be at MoSHE for a total of six weeks and will focus on strengthening MoSHE Advisory Council, Internationalization and Engagement, & System Strengthening.
Dr. Teshome who is the former State Minister of Education of Ethiopia has been working in the USA in different capacities including for American Council for Education. He is currently an Associate Vice Provost for International Affairs at Indiana University. Indiana University is a member of APLU and has been partnering with different Universities in Ethiopia.
