The Ethiopian Education and Training Roadmap Presented at the 2020 Education World Forum



A delegation from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and Ministry of Education of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia led by H.E Professor Hirut Woldemariam, Minister for the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, is attending The 2020 Education World Forum in London, the world’s largest gathering of education ministries.


The theme for 2020 EWF is One generation- what does it take to transform education? The very purpose of the Forum is to debate on the future of education policy whereby many sessions were chaired by the selected Education Ministers themselves as part of an honest assessment of education’s common issues and challenges.


Ethiopia is among one of a few selected countries to present its experiences on the Forum. H.E Professor Hirut has made the presentation where the government’s commitment to leading the reform; series of consultative meetings on the roadman, the major shift areas identified, implementation plan for the roadmap are among the various issues which attracted the attention of the participants.


Education Ministers from 120 countries, quite a large number of State Ministers, Members of Civic Society, renowned Global Education Research Institutes and Educational Organizations are attending the Forum.
