The 2nd African Science, Technology and Innovation; and the 6th African Sustainable Development Forums are being held in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
The four-day high-level panel discussions, under a theme of “2020-2030: A Decade to Deliver a Transformed and Prosperous Africa through the SDGs-2030 and AU Agenda 2063” is being held in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
The forums are organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) in collaboration with the African Union Commission, UNESCO, and hosted by the Zimbabwean Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development.
The Purposes of the forums are to review progresses, share experiences, build consensuses, and identify recommendations that accelerate the implementation of the SDGs-2030 and AU-2063 agenda to an upcoming high-level African Political Forum on Sustainable Development, and for global STI forum.
Over 2000 participants representing government officials, non-governmental organizations, civic societies, researchers, youths, entrepreneurs, AU Commission, UNECA, UNICEF, and other UN agencies are attending the forum meeting. Ministry of Science and Higher Education is one of the participants.
