Ethiopian TVET Delegates Visited ITE Education Services in Singapore

Delegates from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Federal TVET Institute (FTI), held fruitful preliminary discussion and experience sharing sessions focusing on upgrading FTI to Technical University and the timeliness of advancing international partnerships in the sector to create better socio-economic impact.

The joint meeting went on the 2nd of Oct 2019 in ITE premises, Singapore. The discussion has emphasized on core elements of institutional development and upgrading and covered wide-ranging issues besides vital concepts on both policy and operations.

The overall objective of the visit is to scan relevant international practices of the sector and share the effective ones. FTI can contextually take advantage of using the learning in the process of upgrading to the University level in accordance with the Ethiopian TVET strategy.

The meeting concluded reemphasizing how these institutes can collaborate with an agreement to extend the visit to service delivering colleges of ITE located in different areas of Singapore.
