Possibilities of advancing and strengthening the existed partnership, between Ethiopia and the US institutions have been discussed at the US embassy in Addis Ababa on 28th of October 2019.
H.E prof. Hirut W/ Mariam, Minister Ministry Of Science And Higher Education and her team have made productive discussions with US embassy leaders in Ethiopia and the resource partners USAID, CDC, FAS, NIH, and others.
The discussion was made at the presence of delegates from American Public Land Grant universities and others.
In her speech, the minister has recognized the longstanding Ethiopia-US linkage experience and the contributions US government to improve the lives of Ethiopians and specially the education sector.
All parties agreed to work on strengthening the works being done by the US government in capacity building, research collaboration, supports through projects, instructor and student exchange and etc. The minister also emphasized the importance of supporting Ethiopia's agricultural sector (which is backbone of our economy), health and information communication technology advancements.
Mr. David Renz, the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa, has promised to support Ethiopian science and higher education sector based on priorities set by the Ministry Of Science And Higher Education.
